It's like deja vu all over again

Rich and I were chatting and turned around to this:

Here's another one just for kicks.

And I can't leave out this cutie:

Hooked

I don't know who was more hooked on Juliet's pacifier--Juliet or us. However, Rich and I agreed that it was inhibiting her language development. By 17 months Ryan was already saying some 3 word phrases and at 19 months Juliet only had a vocabulary of like 4 words. She seemed to be trying to talk but her pacifier was in the way. Starting New Year's we took away daytime paci privileges. And what a difference! Within 11 days she's added bye, ball, book, grandma, banana, cracker, stuck, done, and whoah. I guess we should have done this a while ago:)

The next time you're in Phoenix

Visit the Rooster Cogburn Ostrich Ranch!

You ride on these monster truck buggies (no seatbelts), driven by a hilarious redneck lady from Oklahoma. She drives like a maniac around the ostrich ranch and tells you all about ostriches and the desert. We caught air AND learned how each desert cactus is a miracle.

She drives you to an ostrich fishing dock where you put grapefruits on long poles and feed them to the ostriches. I didn't take any pictures of fishing-just video. And I'm too lazy to post it. Here we are along with my sister's family.

You feed darling deer. They were so nice and gentle. I want a pet deer now.

Ryan was totally into it. He was like, "and I want YOU to have this piece of food, and I want YOU to have this piece of food. . ." And he'd be personally offended if one walked away or ate someone else's food. It was hilarious.

Then you feed mean goats who hang out in this wall with holes. I'd probably be mean, too, if I had to hang out in that wall with holes.

You feed dumb, mean ostriches.

You feed donkeys. Nice, but not very hungry.

Then you feed lorakeets who are mostly nice but occasionally poop in your hair (Macie) or bite (Juliet).

We'd definitely rank this as one of our favorite activities we've done as a family.
