Playdoh Time

There are few things better than an evening with Playdoh. As you can see below we had a fun time making 'portraits' of each other. The purple is Rich's rendition of Kim...

...the yellow represents Kim's rendition of Rich...

...and the stars are Ryan's rendition of the sky.

The real question is who's the better artist Kim or Rich.

You decide...(I'll give you a hint..it's Rich)

Tiny Zoo Trip

Today we were determined to go to the zoo rain or shine. Well--it rained and we lasted about 45 minutes. Thank goodness we have zoo passes.

Ryan got the chance to feed a funny looking cow

and a giant sheep (though she doesn't look giant here).

Rich had to prevent Ryan's fingers front being amputated.

We all liked the meerkats.

Macie loved riding in the baby pack on my back. It started raining before we could take her picture but we did get this great one of her handiwork. And that was our trip to the zoo.

Spring has Sprung

The other day we were driving to church and I saw this empty lot with a zillion yellow wildflowers. Today Ryan, Macie and I checked it out. We had a lot of fun--Ryan picked more flowers than he ever has in his whole life. And he loved watching the train go by not too far from where we were playing. Macie enjoyed just watching us and looking at the bright flowers. We'll definitely go back to this spot to see if I can get some better pictures--like maybe ones where Ryan doesn't have to squint so much. This place is such a rare find in the middle of Silicon Valley.

Rollie Pollie Macie

Macie now sometimes rolls onto her tummy and enjoys the new view (for weeks now she'd roll over and scream for us to roll her back over). Earlier today she was screaming on her tummy so I yelled to Ryan, "Go roll your sister over!" What a weird thing to tell someone.
