We take apricot picking very seriously around here.

Just kidding:)

But, do you know what really is a serious matter?

Happy Days

We've had a rough few weeks. It was all my fault. I had been talking with a friend about how families pass germs around (Juliet and I both had just gotten colds). And I said that our family really wasn't the type to get some kind of sickness and then pass it round and around and around. Of course, days after I say that Macie comes in to the bathroom and announces that she just threw up (and there was plenty more to come). Within a couple of days Ryan got sick and then Juliet and then Rich. And then Ryan and Juliet again. And then me. All of that along with me already having a cold, the cloudy weather, me overcommitting myself to some things that I should have just gotten out of, and all of us being trapped in the house for way too many days--it was just too much. I was a huge, huge grouch. But we are finally all healthy, the sun has come out, summer vacation has started and I've realized how grateful I am for the times when life feels great.

This is pretty much why you shouldn't stop at one kid

I asked Ryan to go start the tub for the girls to take a bath. A few minutes later I find him shampooing, conditioning, and rinsing their hair. Pretty awesome.

Naughty and Nice

Juliet just turned two but I swear sometimes she acts like she's 16. You should hear her tone when she says "NooOOOoooo"! On the day she turned two she also learned how to climb out of her crib. She didn't climb out of bed because she didn't want to be there, she got out to yell at me to bring her some toys. I put the toys and Juliet back in bed and she was happy as a clam. Pretty funny girl.

On the other hand, Juliet's also becoming such a sweetie. Today, she and I took Macie to her hula class. Three year olds doing the hula is pretty much the cutest thing ever. Unfortunately, Macie wasn't feelin' it and preferred to go home and take a nap. On the way back to the car, the girls held hands and Juliet picked a flower and they walked so pleasantly to the car. I just had to take a photo of an event that was so perfect, it looked set up. I love that the girls are starting to develop a cute sister relationship.
